Discover a world of outdoor adventure at the 6th Annual Greater Philadelphia Outdoor Sportshow, February 26-March 1, 2015 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. Looking for the latest in sporting equipment of all types? It’s here! Want expert advice from the top pros of hunting and fishing? We’ve got it!  How about amazing activities for the whole family, like shark tanks and flying raptors? It’s all at the Expo, along with great deals not to be found anywhere else.

The Expo offers almost 200,000 square feet of state-of-the-art fishing gear, hunting gear, camping equipment, and paddle sports equipment. The sportfishing section features the best names in the business when it comes to tackle manufacturers. Look for the latest gear from Shimano, Stormr, Quantum, St. Croix, Okuma, Temple Fork Outfitters, G. Loomis, Livingston Lures and many more. Also on hand are smaller, custom tackle manufacturers whose wares are only found at sportsman’s shows – never in big box retail stores or catalogues. The Expo is the only opportunity this year to explore these fine products.

At The Boatyard, check out more than 100 boats of every kind. From bass boats to saltwater fishing boats, there is a watercraft for every activity – and open water is just months away! Do you dream of backwoods adventure? Explore the campers, RVs, and ATVs that let you enjoy the wilderness in style. The Expo’s extensive line-up of  lodges, guides and tourism associations will help you plan that perfect outdoor vacation.

Hunters should set their sights on the hunting hall where top vendors for firearms, archery, and hunting gear are on display, as well as exhibits on hunting camps and resorts, hunting dogs, and taxidermists.

Seminars and demonstrations from sportsmen at the top of their game let you learn from the experts. This year’s lineup includes Philadelphia’s own champion Michael “Ike” Iaconelli, fresh off of his recent BASS Elite win on the Delaware River in downtown Philly. Iaconelli’s seminars are not to be missed! Joining him is pro Brandon Palaniuk, an approachable and popular angler with two wins and seven top 10 finishes on the Bassmaster Elite circuit, and Connecticut’s own Paul Mueller, recent National BASS Federation champ, along with many others. Legendary deer hunters Lane Benoit, C.J. Winland, and Peter Fiduccia “The Deer Doctor,” are just a few of the hunting experts sharing their tips and strategies.

The Expo is the place for unique family fun. This year, for the first time visitors will thrill to Shark Encounters at the Ford Entertainment Stage. This event features a 5,000-gallon tank with live sharks; intrepid diver Philip Peters swims with them while providing educational information. On land, Baywing Falconry will showcase the beauty of live raptors and guests will also be impressed by the daily bird dog demonstrations. Anglers will want to try their hand at landing a monster fish at the fishing simulator or experience fly fishing at the casting pool while experts offer advice. Be sure to watch the pros demonstrate their techniques for snagging the biggest bass at the Hawg Trough.

Hunters will want to try their skill at the Stihl archery simulator and everyone will be amazed by the live Red Deer on display courtesy of Rolling Farm.  Plus, this year enter our trophy buck contest and see who’s rack rules!  (Details at www.sportshows.com)

Sunday is Family Day with more special activities, plus children under age 11 get in free when accompanied by a paying adult. The first 150 kids (11 and under) through the door will receive a FREE Plano tackle box.
